Omarion signs with Weezy
Omarion is the newest member of Lil Wayne’s Young Money label.
Buzz about him getting signed began circulating last week, but it was little more than speculation without an official statement. Well, Omarion finally confirmed his new deal via his Twitter blog.
"Thanks 4 all tha love yall! Young Money! Omarion,” the singer exclaimed Saturday. “You will believe and see God's power!! I'm so humble and I [can’t] wait 2 give y’all tha new me."
Fellow crooner Tyrese wasted no time in giving O a shout out on the contract.
“Congrats on OMARION signing his new deal to YOUNG MONEY,” he tweeted. “This is gonna be a big year for you!! Young mula baby!!
Omarion will be joining newcomer Drake, who is also signed to the imprint and seems very grateful for the opportunity.
"Wayne is another one that—rap-wise, verse-wise—was my favorite," he told MTV News. "And to be under his wing, to be able to interact with him on a daily basis and talk to him and get information from him, I'm in a blessed position. I have the greatest mentors, the greatest teachers in the world.“
