He's coiffed the heads of everyone from Gabrielle Union to Amerie, and now Ted Gibson will bring his magical styling hands to everyday women on TLC's "What Not to Wear."

The reality show employed stylist Nick Arrojo in the hair styling suite for seven seasons, but last week Ted announced via Twitter that he'd be taking over.

On May 29, he wrote, "It's my 1st day as the hair guru on 'What Not To Wear!' Yes it's makeover magic with me, Ted Gibson, exciting!"

We're excited to see how Ted's styling personality will impact the show. Nick was a friendly British bloke that tended to be scissor-happy with his real-women clients, but Ted is known for full-on glamour: We're talking big, long hair.

Besides his styling business, he owns three Ted Gibson salons in New York, Washington and Florida, and manufactures a hair care line.

Catch "What Not to Wear" on Friday nights at 9 p.m. EST on TLC.
