Kelly Rowland hit the beach for a walk in the sand and a party by the pier in the video for “When Love Takes Over.”
 
Even though Kelly provides the vocals on this track, the song is by David Guetta; and he thinks the beachy theme of the video was pitch perfect for his summer single.
 
“Shooting this video on the beach with Kelly Rowland and [director] Jonas Akerlund was so much fun and really like a big party,” said David Guetta. “Jonas perfectly captured the essence of the track.”
 
The video was taped in Venice Beach, California, last month. It starts off a little slow, but it builds towards a pretty realistic beach party scene. Honestly, it reminds a little of something Destiny’s Child would have done.
 
While “When Love Takes Over” is a decidedly different tone for Kelly, we’re sure we’ll hear it playing amongst the usual sounds of summer.
