Mathew Knowles gives BET an ultimatum
Mathew Knowles is forcing BET to make a difficult decision: Beyoncé or LeToya Luckett?
There have been whispers that Mathew Knowles has been threatening to pull Bey from the BET Awards if LeToya is scheduled to perform on the show. Well, The Hip Hop Prophet has confirmed those rumors are true.
Rumors began circulating after a source claiming to be close to the Knowles sent a letter dishing the dirt on Mathew’s alleged threat. Since hitting the ’Net, the letter has been censored to protect the innocent.
“Mathew made [name censored] threaten BET to remove Beyonce from the BET Awards line-up if LeToya were to perform on that same stage that same night,” the anonymous insider wrote. “It is sad to say but I think [name censor] will win over LeToya's management because Beyonce is a guarantee to bring the ratings up for the show. In business we have to deal with shady politics but this is going too far.”
Later, another insider came forward to back up those claims and confirm that Papa Knowles did give the network an ultimatum.
This puts BET in a very difficult position because their awards shows have always featured the biggest acts and those that are still on the come up.
But fans can have their say about LeToya’s fate for awards night by signing an online petition.
