Usher's first words since filing for divorce

Usher is speaking out for the first time since his decision to get a divorce from estranged wife Tameka Foster.

The singer told “Entertainment Tonight” that things haven’t been easy for him lately, but he’s handling it well.

“If there's any turmoil, I think it's managing all of it,” he said, “but having an incredible team that helps me do that it makes it very easy, or easier than it would normally be attempting to do it myself."

But how is Usher handling the responsibilities of being an international music star and a father to his sons Usher V and Nayvid Ely?

"What I do is, I try to get [my work] done and get home on the weekends if possible," he said. “But when I'm with my boys, it's just all about them."

Usher filed for divorce from Tameka, his wife of nearly two years, last week, and insiders said they knew this would happen eventually. "She was alienating and controlling, and he was unhappy," a source told
Us.

For now, Tameka is contesting the divorce and she hasn’t responded to a petition for the split. She and Usher are due in court on July 15.
