Tatyana Ali sues over no show
Tatyana Ali is suing the production company of her would-be web series, “Buppies.”
According to TMZ.com, the actress and her sister, Anastasia, said they sank $45,000 into the series. Tatyana was supposed to have starred in the show as a socialite named Quincy, and she even taped a pilot webisode.
Their suit, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, claims that the company producing “Buppies” lost all of the money the sisters invested and later dropped the project altogether.
Now, Tatyana and Anastacia said they’ve been left empty-handed after they were promised partial rights to the show. They’re seeking $45,000 from the production company.
“Buppies” was written, created and directed by Julian Breece; Tatyana is listed as one of its executive producers. The Web series was set to premiere on BET.com this Sunday.
