The holiday weekend not only brought out fireworks and American flags; leggings were also in full effect. Rihanna, Solange, Toya Carter and Amber Rose were all snapped wearing variations of the popular trend.

Solange hit up the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans over the weekend, and blended black and white leggings with her usual hippie-rocker style. These harlequin tights have a similarly fun feel to them ($16.99, Luxury Divas).

Toya Carter attended a premiere party for her new show, "Tiny & Toya," wearing black leggings with round cutouts down the side, similar to this pair from American Apparel ($32).

Amber Rose may have thought it was St. Patrick's Day and not Independence Day as she was decked out in green from head (literally!) to ankle. Her leggings were a seafoam color, like these from Dillard's ($11.70).

Rihanna's leggings were part of an unusually low-key outfit: white blazer, black leggings and ankle boots. Her pair featured cuts around the knee and thigh. We found a look-alike pair by LNA ($115, Shopbop)
