The Los Angeles Police Department said that they are not treating the investigation into Michael Jackson's death as a homicide.

Authorities told Access Hollywood TMZ.com's reports that the case had turned into a homicide investigation are wrong, and they're not sure where the Web site was getting its information from. But, the LAPD has said that the investigation is "ongoing."

A rep for the attorney representing Dr. Conrad Murray, who was the last doctor care for Michael, claims that, “Investigators have not told us this is a homicide investigation.”

TMZ reported yesterday that the LAPD had taken a new approach to the investigation and they believed that Propofol was the main cause of Michael's death.

It was also reported that  police had “plenty of powerful evidence” pegging Conrad as the person who gave Michael the anesthesia, including an IV stand and the drug itself.
