Wendy welcomes Whitney
Wendy Williams has ended her beef with Whitney Houston and would even welcome the singer for a sit-down on her couch.
The two had a very public falling out in 2003 when Wendy asked the singer about her alleged drug abuse. That sent Whitney into a rage and she cussed the DJ out on-air.
Fast-forward six-years to Monday night at The Gates and Wendy said she’s ready to bury the hatchet.
"Whitney and I have history, but we're also Jersey girls and women of a certain age, and I think we're both in a really good place," the radio-host-turned-TV-personality told the New York Daily News. "We have a new life to celebrate. I'd love to have Whitney on the show."
This echoed her friendly on-air invite during the national launch of her daytime program, “The Wendy Williams Show,” Monday morning.
“Whitney…we’ve been through a lot, haven’t we? We’re so grown and you’re on the launch pad to your big comeback,” Wendy said during her Hot Topics segment. “I hear that the new product is excellent and we would love for you to come on the show.”
We’re not sure whether Whitney would accept, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed.
