Jay-Z to ‘Decode’ rhymes in book

Jay-Z is about to add author to his multi-hyphenate title.

During a radio interview this morning, the rapper-turned-mogul revealed that he’s finalized a three-book deal with Random House imprint Spiegel Grau, according to
WoooHa.com.

“Yeah, the other two books though, you know I had to sign that deal,” Jigga said this morning. “I’ve done the deal to do a book and the name of it is [Decoded.]“

Jay said that Decoded will basically be a guide to his best known rhymes, their meaning and the inspiration behind them. That means fans might be able to expect reading a few of his personal stories.

“I’m going to decode all the lyrics from my records,” Hov revealed. “I’m gonna pick the select ones, all the double entendres and things that people may have missed or may have gotten but want confirmation on it. That’s what the book is about.”

You’re gonna have to hold up on placing a pre-order, though, because there’s no word on when the book will be released.
