The first lady's press secretary has confirmed to InStyle.com that she did not cut her hair.

"It’s an updo. Not haircut," said Semonti Mustaphi.

Michelle Obama debuted the sophisticated short bob at the White House on Tuesday night, July 21.

The first lady was attending the second event in a series that took place in the East Room of the White House, reports Just Jared.

Last night's celebrated storytelling and the history of country music.

Michelle organized the series to encourage arts and arts education.

President Barack Obama also showed his support while Charley Pride, Brad Paisley and other country artists performed.
