Even though the world is about to see Nene Leakes get caught up in some drama tonight, she wants you to focus on the positive things she’s doing.
 
The second season of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is premiering tonight and we already have our spot on the couch all warmed up.  It’s hard for us to pick a favorite from the cast, but Nene has become one of the breakout stars of the show.
 
She’s gotten so much attention that she was even asked to do the cover of O magazine’s September issue. Nene told S2S that another one of our favorite reality stars, Kim Kardashian, will also be featured.
 
“They asked for reality stars that had become a household name, and I was one of the young ladies that they chose,” Nene said. “It was a great honor for them to fly me up to Los Angeles and pamper me for the day. “
 
We know the ladies are already used to the star treatment, but it had to be lots of fun for them to snap fab pictures in designer dresses.
 
Nene she mentioned her brief stint hosting NBC’s “The Today Show.” She was filling in for Kathy Lee Gifford for a week, but she lamented that the daily TV spot failed to garner even a blink from the blogosphere.
 
“I thought it was huge and it really was,” Nene said. “It’s sad that the bloggers or the media didn’t really reach out to me. But if I was doing something negative in the press, they would be so quick to post it everywhere.”
