Drake recovering after weekend fall
Drake is recovering after he took a tumble at a show this weekend, re-injuring his knee. While the rapper has made sure to send updates on his condition, his knee has also begun speaking up on Twitter.
Fans at the Camden, New Jersey, stop of the Young Money Presents: America's Most Wanted Music Festival weren’t quite sure what had happened to the rapper Friday night when he slipped on stage. MTV News reports that his already injured knee gave out while he was stage, sending him falling to the floor.
Whether or not Drake would participate on the tour was up in the air, but he decided to do a short set anyway. He tripped just as he was launching into his latest hit, “Best I Ever Had.”
Drake has since gone back to Toronto for a surgery to fix his knee, but he’s in high spirits and thinking about his current situation.
"I embarked on this tour with a torn ACL, MCL and LCL, and due to the events that happened the other night, lord only knows what other damage I have done," Drake wrote on his blog Sunday. "On the bright side, I will begin the reflecting and soul searching that it's going to take to make this album.”
And as Drake is recuperating, his knee has been posting verses on Twitter.
“Before I tripped I was the man / Wish I was rappin’ in some sand / Now I never want to hear "Fallin" by Alicia, man,” DrakesKnee tweeted earlier today. “The floor I slipped up on it though / Be back after surgery so / Be happy I ain't shoot my leg / Like the homie Plaxico.”
BTW, Drake’s knee also has no interest in hearing “Head Over Heels” by Allure.
