Senator Edward M. Kennedy has been laid to rest beside his brothers.

The
Associated Press reports that Ted was buried in Arlington National Cemetery on Saturday evening. However his funeral was held in Boston and President Barack Obama gave a heartfelt eulogy of the fallen senator.

"He was given a gift of time that his brothers were not. And he used that time to touch as many lives and right as many wrongs as the years would allow,” the president said during his speech at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Boston. Among mourners were former presidents Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush.

Before Ted’s body was later interred in Virginia, his hearse made a quick stop by at U.S. Capitol and hiss wife gave a few of the staff members there a hug. Once at Arlington a squad of riflemen fired off a 21-gun salute in honor of the politician as another soldier played taps.
