A 22-year-old Brooklyn woman is recovering after her husband shot her earlier this week.
 
Kaidan Ramsay’s husband, Lenox Ramsay, 19, stalked and shot his estranged wife on Tuesday, the New York Daily News reports.  According to police reports he fired six shots at her during an altercation outside of Medgar Evers College in the Crown Heights neighborhood. One of the bullets hit her in the left shoulder and embedded in her collarbone
 
Reportedly, Lenox assaulted Kaidan and grabbed her wrist before he threw her out into a busy street. Kaidan tried to get in a passing car in an attempt to escape, then she called her siste, Shelly Ann Riley,for help.
 
"We heard her say, 'No! No! No!' and we heard her screaming for help," said Kaidan’s uncle, Ewan Clarke, who also heard the call. "We heard her say 'He has a gun,' and 'I've been shot.'"
 
Lenox, who was denied bail, has since been arraigned on a list of charges, including attempted murder and assault. There’s no word on when he’ll face sentencing in the case.
 
The couple had only been married for 11 months before this incident, and Kaidan had moved out of heir home about two days before the shooting.  This wasn’t the first instance of domestic violence in their relationship, and her family said she constantly lived in fear with she was with him, but she never filed a report against him.  She did, however, go to police about Lenox’s abuse, but she was refused because of a supposed lack of evidence.
