BET still loves Kanye West
Everyone else might still be mad at Kanye West for his outburst Sunday at the VMAs, but he’s getting a lot of love from BET.
The rapper has snagged nine nominations for the upcoming BET Hip Hop Awards, including People’s Champ, Lyricist of the Year, Producer of the Year and MVP of the year.
His album 808s & Heartbreak is also up for CD of the Year where he’ll face off against T.I.’s Paper Trail and Eminem’s Relapse.
But Kanye’s stiffest competition might be in the Best Live Performer category, where he’s been pitted against Jay-Z, Lil’ Wayne, T.I. and Busta Rhymes.
To see whether he’ll be taking home a prize (or if he’ll bum rush the stage again), tune into the BET Hip Hop Awards 2009 when it airs October 27 at 8 p.m. EST.
