Barack: 'I was Black before the election'

President Barack Obama is speaking out about the possibility that opposition to his ideas are based on race.

It’s no secret that the president has faced harsh criticism ever since he was elected, but lately his detractors have been getting a lot bolder (Rep. Joe Wilson, anyone?).

While many believe that the temper tantrums are rooted in racism, Barack sees it a little differently. To prove his point he let audiences watching “The Late Show with David Letterman” in on a little secret: He’s been Black all his life.  Seriously, we're just as surprised as you.
