No more kids for Mary
Mary J. Blige hasn’t got any plans to expand her family anytime soon because she’s already busy with her stepchildren.
MJB, who was being honored at New Yorkers for Children, said that it’s not because she doesn’t love children, though.
"I don't think I'll do foster care or adopt, to be quite honest,"she told People. "I barely have time for my own children. To adopt more children and not have time for them, that [would be] poor parenting on my [part]."
Mary’s currently stepmom to Kendu Isaacs’ kids, 11-year-old Jordan and 10-year-old Nas. Kendu also has a daughter named Briana who’s 23.
But Victoria Secret angel Selita Ebanks said she’d definitely consider adoption once she settles down because she was once a foster child herself. The model told People bouncing from one home to another between the ages of 5 and 7.
“It's challenging to find an identity as a young person if you don't have the sustenance of love, because you're being shipped around."
