Three teenagers have been charged for the murder of a 16-year-old honor student who’s beating death was caught on tape.

CNN.com reports that Silvanus Shannon, 19, 18-year-old Eugene Riley and Eric Carlson, 16, have all been indicted on felony charges of first-degree murder.

The Cook County States Attorney announced that charges in connection with the death of a Chicago honor student, Derrion Albert. There is no word on what may have provoked the attack. Several other have been questioned in connection with the deadly fight.

An amateur video of the beating showed the assailants ganging up on Derrion, striking their victim with two-by-fours as well as punching and kicking him. The brutal attack didn’t end once Derrion fell to the ground, though. There is footage of four or five people stomping on his body.

After the ambush, Derrion was carried into a building where a woman could be heard saying, “Derrion, get up!”

Although, video of the attack has been broadcast, we won’t show it here. Click here if you wish to view it. Police are encouraging anyone who recognizes the attackers to call (312) 747-8272.
