Stars come out to play
Celebs like Nick Cannon, Tiki Barber and Sean Kingston got outside with the kids for Nickelodeon’s sixth annual Worldwide Day of Play.
Nick shut down its channel and its website for three hours on Saturday, pushing their youthful viewers to get off the couch and get active. However the even actually ran all day at Riverside Park in New York.
“We’re just here to encourage the kids to be active in anyway possible and something,” Nick said of the event after dancing with Sponge Bob Squarepants. “Running, racing, hiking, all of those different things. Just getting outside and enjoying this beautiful fresh air.”
Nick kicked off the festivities to a race, and Sean performed for the kids around noon.
“I think it’s great,” the singer said. “I wish I had something like this when I was coming up to have a lot of fun.”
