Sneak Peek: Hip Hop Honors
Def Jam is getting lots of love at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors on Tuesday, but here’s a quick look at what’s in store.
The ceremony, hosted by Tracy Morgan, was recorded last month in New York City and a who’s who of hip-hop came out to give props to the label. Now, home audiences will be treated to the sick performances that took place.
First up, Public Enemy and The Roots will be rocking Radio City Music Hall for a high-powered performance of “Rebel Without A Pause.”
The Roots pulled double duty on stage as they helped “Rock the Bells” with Eminem and DJ Jazzy Jeff.
For something a little more contemporary, though, DMX got on stage with the Gym Class Heroes to do “Party Up.” But we’re also really excited to see the rest of Ludacris’ “Southern Hospitality” performance. In the meantime, here’s a clip to hold you over.
