Ne-Yo adds track to ‘Princess’ project
New music from Ne-Yo for Disney’s The Princess and the Frog shows that he’s becoming quite the movie composer.
The R&B crooner’s new song, “Never Knew I Needed,” is supposed to be part of the original soundtrack for the upcoming film.
The sound of the single is more contemporary than other songs that might support The Princess and the Frog, so “Never Knew I Needed” will roll during the closing credits.
The Princess and the Frog is set in New Orleans’ French Quarter during the Jazz Era, so musical numbers during the film might feature a brassier sound. Randy Newman will provide that vibe for the film with the songs he’s composing, and The Dirty Dozen Brass Band is set to perform those pieces.
In the meantime, you can listen to “Never Knew I Needed” below.
