MObama's (hula) hoop dreams
Barack and Michelle Obama are all about health and fitness, so we weren't surprised when Michelle went all out for the Health Kids Fair, which took place yesterday on the White House lawn.
"Believe it or not, medical experts are now warning that for the first time in the history of this nation, we're headed for the next generation being on track to have a shorter lifespan than us," she told the crowd.
To combat that, she invited lots of kids in the Washington, D.C., area for a day of play, nutritious snacks (zucchini quesadillas and baked apples) and playground classics, like hula hooping and double dutch.
She's clearly had some experience with the hula hoop, and she kept it swinging for 142 spins! Jumping rope may not be her forte, but we never said she was perfect!
