Stellar Awards nominees announced
Vickie Winans and Donald Lawrence top the list of nominees for the 25th Annual Stellar Awards.
Vickie’s How I Got Over and Don’s The Law Of Confession Part 1 have been two of gospel’s outstanding projects this year. For their efforts, each of the artists is up for nine awards. They face off in four different categories, including Artist of the Year and CD of the Year.
Of course, Mary Mary also made a huge splash with The Sound, featuring several smash hits. The heavenly duo has been blessed with four nominations, like Duo of the Year. And they’ll battle it out with Vickie and Donald for Song of the Year.
Newcomer Crystal Aikin hasn’t done too badly for herself, either, with four nominations of her own. She’s in the running for New Artist of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Contemporary Female of the Year and Contemporary CD of the Year for her self-titled project.
Meanwhile Vickie will be pulling double duty as she hosts the 25th Annual Stellar Awards along with Donnie McClurkin and Kirk Franklin. The ceremony will take place at January 16 at the Granf Ole Opry in Nashville.
