Mary J. Blige brings kids home for the holidays
Mary J. Blige is one of several stars signed on for "The 11th Annual Home for the Holidays" special.
CBS announced that show will be headlined by country music star Faith Hill for the second year in a row. Mary will be performing during the special, which aims to promote the joys of adopting kids.
Mary recently said that she’s not interested in having any more children, adopted or otherwise, because her duties as a stepmom keep her busy enough. The singer insists that decision is based on that fact that she knows she wouldn’t have the time necessary to really be great parent.
But, booking this special still shows she cares about kids in need of families finding a home. Her performance will augment the happy story of one family who has brought a foster child into their home.
More acts for the special, airing December 23 at 8 P.M. EST on CBS, will be announced later.
