Shaq bumps Shaunie from court?
Shaquille O’Neal is making sure that his estranged wife Shaunie doesn’t get her day in court...at least not in California, anyway.
According to TMZ.com, the NBA player is trying to box her out of the California court system altogether. His lawyer filed legal papers stating that Shaunie can’t get a divorce through California because she and Shaq lived in Florida.
Early last month Shaunie and her kids moved to Los Angeles where she filed for legal separation just days after settling in. She’s seeking full custody of their children, child support and spousal support. Speaking of which, she stands to win more spousal support in a California divorce. There are no details on how much support she’s requesting.
The separation came shortly buzz of Shaq’s alleged affair with Gilbert Arenas’ pregnant fiancée, Laura Govan, began circulating on the blogosphere. Supposedly, Shaq and Laura had been exchanging intimate emails setting up rendezvous for quite some time.
