Chris Brown sits down with ABC
Chris Brown is reacting to Rihanna’s “20/20” interview with a sit-down of his own, which is set to air tonight.
The singer is speaking out on the Pre-Grammy fight once again, this time with ABC’s Robin Roberts. In a clip of the interview, which aired yesterday on “Good Morning America,” the reporter confronted him with a clip of Rihanna’s account of the attack.
In early February, fans were shocked to learn that Chris and Rihanna, once pop music’s “It” couple, had gotten into a brutal brawl that left her with serious injuries.
"I never ever had problems with anger. No, no domestic violence with any of my past girlfriends," Chris said. "I never was that kind of person. ... I look at it, and it's really, like really difficult. It's like, 'How could I be that person?'"
“It was something that -- I really have to really think about it. I was like, 'Man, I let a lot of people down,” he added.
Hearing Rihanna’s words on the attack, talking about deeper damage of “the scar inside,” seemed difficult for the embattled crooner. As he’s done before, Chris addressed his transgressions, apologizing for his part in the fight.
"I was wrong for what I did," Chris said after watching a clip of Rihanna’s interview. "I'm -- I'm really sorry for -- for what went down. And what happened."
Chris’ attempts to make amends for his part in the February incident have at times been met with skepticism. Some people believe that statements he’s made since the beating are insincere. Find out what Chris had to say about those impressions when you watch the clip below.
Watch Chris’ full interview tonight when it airs at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
