Justin Timberlake regrets Nipplegate fallout
Justin Timberlake feels bad about the way he ditched Janet Jackson after their incident at the 2004 Superbowl.
No one will ever forget the half-time show at 2004’s game when Janet and Justin performed “Rock Your Body. In the end, she was left exposed when he ripped open her jacket and her breast popped out on live TV.
While the two certainly seemed shocked, Justin wasted no time distancing himself from the nipple slip (and Janet), dismissing it as a “wardrobe malfunction.” Days later he said he didn’t know Ms. Jackson had planned to bare all.
Looking back on the incident, Justin feels a little guilty for how he handled the situation. “I wish I had supported Janet more,” he recently confessed to Entertainment Weekly. “I am not sorry I apologized, but I wish I had been there more for Janet.”
