Best decade ever for Mariah
Billboard just made Mariah Carey’s decade with news that one of her songs was the sound of the new millennium.
“We Belong Together” topped Billboard’s Hot 100 Songs chart for the 2000s. Coming in second for the decade was Usher’s “Yeah,” and “Low” by Flo-Rida rounded out the top three.
The rankings are based on Billboard’s formula that calculates sales, radio play and streaming audio. About 68 percent of fans agreed with the ranking.
Mariah also earned the #1 spot on Billboard’s Radio Songs chart. “Yeah” came in second yet again, but Alicia Keys’ “No One” ranked third for the decade.
Sadly for Mimi, she didn’t fair so well on the Artists of The Decade list. While Mariah clocked in at #11,her arch nemesis Eminem snagged #1.
