There’s word that Alicia Keys and boyfriend Swizz Beatz are ready to tie the knot.


 
A source close to the couple told UsMagazine.com that Swizz popped the question in Hawaii on January 24, the day before her birthday. Reportedly when she accepted, he slipped a 7-carat ring on her finger (not a bad b-day present).
 
The couple was spotted on the beach shortly after the proposal. Photographers snapped a picture showing a ring on Alicia’s left hand.

 
This engagement comes as Swizz is still going through a divorce from his current wife, Mashonda.
 
Although Alicia’s camp claims the couple isn’t engaged, a friend of hers says different.
 
"They are currently in Hawaii celebrating the engagement and her birthday. She feels blessed,” the source said. "She is thrilled. She is with the man who has inspired so much of her music and her new album [The Element of Freedom]."
