Beyoncé shocked self with speech
It turns out that Beyoncé surprised herself and Jay-Z during her acceptance speech at the Grammys.
People in the audience could see that the onstage shout-out to Jay had him a little confused at first.
“He was shocked,” Bey told Access Hollywood.
“I was just like, ‘What did I just do? No, I didn’t just say that!’ I was so happy I could’ve said anything.”
She was overwhelmed with emotion for good reason, too: The “Sweet Dreams” singer had just snagged the Grammy for Female Pop Vocal. It was her sixth win of the night, a record for any female singer. Thankfully, hubby Hov had collected himself by the time she got back to her seat.
“He said, ‘You have six Grammys and you smell good,’”Beyoncé recalls him saying in response to her speech. That’s more good news for the diva, who was wearing her new fragrance Heat to the ceremony.
Speaking of Heat, Bey launched her newest scent at Macy’s in Herald Square. The scent was inspired by her tour, and it features notes of red vanilla orchid, honeysuckle, neroli, blush peach and almond macaroon.
So far her line features the parfum ($39 - $59) and a gold sparkling body lotion. The new treats are being sold at Macy’s department stores nationwide, and you get a free hobo bag with any Heat purchase of $59 or more.
