Danity Kane reincarnated in manga
Dawn Richards is reimaging the comic book that her former singing group was named for.
Dawn has signed a deal with eigoMANGA to release an adaptation of her Danity Kane comic book. Originally the series was about the music scene and it featured a more American art style.
Now, with the help of writer Natasha McGough, Dawn is taking her creation into a whole new direction. Danity Kane’s story will center on a young and powerful, albeit naive, alien who is sent to Earth to free her people. But if the panels we’ve seen are any indication, music will still be involved in the plot somehow.
You’ll have to wait a few more weeks to see what Dawn has reimagined for her heroine. Danity Kane, which will be released as a manga (aka Japanese-style graphic novel), is slated to hit shelves this spring. In the meantime, you can take a peek at samples of the comic and character design.
