Rihanna’s new rude boy gave her a very special gift for her 22nd birthday.

 
According to E! News, Matt Kemp threw the singer a surprise party at Phoenix in Los Angeles on Saturday. Supposedly, he’d been planning the event for a month.

 
Reportedly Rihanna was just expecting a small soiree with family and friends, but she was shocked to see the spread that Matt put out. He laced the party with a tropical theme for the bash and even brought in a Jamaican chef to cook up some goodies for all the guests. 

 
Matt got really personal with the cake he’d ordered, which showcased all of Rihanna’s tattoos.  But the biggest surprise of all, according to a source at the party, was the custom necklace he gave Rihanna.

 
"It was so sweet and she was really surprised," the insider said. "She looked just beautiful."

 
Matt and Rihanna have been keeping their coupling quiet, and he’s even gone so far as to have his camp release a statement denying any commitment. However the pair was spotted together quite a few times over the weekend.
