Just eight days before he enters lockup Lil’ Wayne has finally joined Twitter.


 
Better late than never, Weezy let fans know that he’s “super new” to the Web site during his inaugural tweet early this morning, urging people to follow him.


 
Weezy opted for a less obvious Twitter handle with LilTuneChi. And just so you know it’s him, he was even considerate enough to put in a countdown to his sentencing.
 
“Wayne @liltunechi He got twitter for 8days b4 he go innnnn!!!! FOLLOW,” he urged. His call to action must have worked because as of press time, the rapper had 58,555 followers.


 
But Wayne’s not just using Twitter for self-promotion, he’s also dropping a few inspirational words on his fans.  His last tweet reads, “If it’s held in your heart, u kant let go.”
