Dr. Dre announces Jay-Z collabo
Dr. Dre has confirmed that he and Jay-Z are working on new single and revealed its title.
You read right: The hip-hop legends have laid down a track called “Under Pressure.“ Dre announced the song Sunday night at Fenway Stadium for during the Red Sox’s season opener.
Dr. Dre and Interscope label head Jimmy Iovine dropped the tidbit during batting practice. They were on hand to promote a set of Dre’s headphones featuring a Red Sox design.
When NESN reporter Heidi Watney asked what the rapper would play when he approaches the play, Jimmy said, "The new song Dre has in his pocket, called 'Under Pressure.' It's a brand-new single by Dr. Dre and Jay-Z. That's the song I would use."
And Dre agreed with the him, stating, "Absolutely, that would be it. ‘Under Pressure.’ It’s so fitting.”
While this is big news on its own, this is also the first track announced for Dre’s Detox album that he told MTV News about back in October. If a Jay-Z collaboration is the album’s opening shot, we can only imagine what Dre has lined up for the rest of Detox.
