'Dancing With the Stars' recap: April 6 results
One more star has been blasted off the ballroom floor on "Dancing With the Stars."
Former astronaut Buzz Aldrin was handed his walking papers on Tuesday night's results show. The 80-year old performed a waltz to Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World."
Buzz was a bit stiff during the routine, but he's 80! Taking that into consideration we think he did pretty well, and some members of the audience even gave him a standing ovation.
Judge Bruno Tonioli said the Buzz's waltz was like "the return of the king," but he still had to say something about the stilted performance. "Buzz I have to be honest, it didn't really, really flow," he said, "but you looked very regal!"
There were no hard feelings from Buzz about the oust.
"I did this show for the fighter pilots out there, the military people and the elder geezers like me, who would just like to see an elder come back week after week," he said before taking partner Ashley Costa for a final spin around the floor.
His departure was a shock to the audience, but more so to the judges. They thought for sure that voters would save Buzz and send Kate Gosselin packing.
If we were Kate, though, we'd be more concerned about keeping our kids than winning "DWTS." People reports that her ex-husband (and professional jack*ss), Jon Gosselin, is planning to sue her for primary custody because he claims she doesn't spend enough time with their eight children.
Hmmm...we wonder how much time Jon spends with his babies while he's jetting all over creation chasing after college girls? Just sayin'.
