Lil' Wayne finds job in jail

Updated 4/8/2010 4:10 p.m.

Lil’ Wayne is doing more than just blogging while he’s behind bars, he’s looking out for his fellow prisons, too.

A
ccording to sources at Riker’s Island, he’s landed a pretty sweet gig. Wayne works the midnight shift and he gets to socialize with prisoners on suicide watch.

"It's probably the best job you can have in the jail,” they told the
New York Daily News. "It's not a physical job at all, and it's better than working the kitchen or sanitation."

Aides have to be recommended for the job, which is the highest paying position for inmates. Wayne had to undergo training to learn how to handle at-risk prisoners.

The story gained attention when Us Weekly reported that Wayne's ex-wife, Toya Carter, let it slip that the rapper had a job. Maybe they need to check their sources because Toya denies telling them anything.

"Who told US weekly to say I told them Wayne have a job," Toya quesitoned on Twitter. "I never said that to them...people r Crazy!"
