First Look: ‘True Blood’ season three

HBO is giving insatiable “True Blood” fans a glimpse at the upcoming season with a new poster.
Viewers, not unlike ourselves, have been craving a taste of what’s in store for season three since September. And while the central cast is prominently featured in poster, we can’t help but notice a wolf in the background.
Those who’ve been following news on “True Blood,” know that series creator Alan Ball is adding the feral furries into the mix this season. “They’re far nastier than the ones in Twilight,” warned Nelsan Ellis, who plays Lafayette Reynolds on the show.
It seems like nearly everyone on “True Blood” has been coupled up at one point or another. When S2S caught up with Nelsan, we found out that Lafayette will be getting a boy toy of his own this season.
“I’m sort of in my own little world [with] my love interest,” Nelsan told S2S, “I literally am just working with one other person…sometimes two.”
Viewers will learn a little more about Lafayette as we’ll also be introduced to his mother, Ruby (played by Alfre Woodard), this season. “It feels good to have my own people because I didn’t have any family or relationships in the previous seasons,” he added. “It’s good to have a mother.”
We’ll find out what that relationship is like when season three of “True Blood” premieres June 13 at 9 p.m. on HBO. Here's a clip from the set to see what's going on with Lafayette's cousin Tara Thornton.
