Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence, Tracy Morgan team up for 'Funeral' remake

What happens when Black America's funniest leading men clown around at a funeral? You'll have to wait awhile to find out since Death at a Funeral, the British import being re-imagined by Chris Rock, is still in pre-production, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film will star a virtual who's who of Black film stars including Martin Lawrence, Tracy Morgan, Loretta Divine, Danny Glover, Zoe Saldana, Regina Hall (of Scary Movie) and Columbus Short (of This Christmas). The plot is ripped from the 2007 English flick Death at a Funeral and finds the humor in standard family death fodder like family secrets and, umm, misplaced cadavers?

Chris took the lead in adapting the script, along with his writing partner Ayesha Carr ("Everybody Hates Chris" and "My Wife and Kids" scribe).

This will be the first film project the three stars have worked on together.
