Jennifer Hudson and Punk set a date
Fri, 03/27/2009 - 12:54 — Anonymous
We’re going to start checking our mailbox for an invitation because Jennifer Hudson and her fiancé, David “Punk” Otunga, have finally set a wedding date.
Jen returned to the “American Idol” stage earlier this week to tape a performance of “If This Isn’t Love,” which will be aired later on in the season. During her visit, host Ryan Seacrest asked if the couple knew when they would be jumping the broom, People.com reports.
“Yeah, but it’s a secret,” she told Ryan. “I can’t tell anybody.”
J. Hud will be going out on tour with Robin Thicke starting March 31. Hopefully she’ll squeeze in some time for dress shopping once she gets on the road.

Living here in Chicago, I visited the site of Jennifer Hudson's nightmare on a number of occassions. I felt a kinship with her because my family experienced the same form of tragedy here in the mean streets of Chicago. I prayed for not only Jennifer, but for her sister Julia, because I know Julia will spend the rest of her life regretting and mourning the death of not only her mother and brother, but most importantly her son. I too mourn the death of my child, a daughter. Julia as well as Jennifer, will never rid themselves of the "what ifs" that will haunt them so to hear that she is trying to get on with her life but setting a wedding date and possibly considering starting her own family is a positive form of therapy that will perhaps her survive and thrive in her profession. I pray that Jennifer and Julia both find peace within themselves and with their love for the "Word" and God's Wisdom, they will survive.
I will continue to pray for this family and for every family, whether they are here in Chicago or accross the sea. Death is a pain that remains and accepting it as well as living with it takes prayer and faith.
