Taye Diggs and his wife, Idina Menzel, are expecting their first child.
 
Taye’s rep told People.com they will be welcoming the baby sometime later this year. There’s no word on how far along Idina is, or whether they’re expecting a boy or a girl.
 
The couple met in 1996 as part of the original cast of the Broadway smash Rent. They got married back in 2003.
 
Taye is currently starring in ABC’s “Private Practice,” which airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. EST.
