'South Park' cuts Kanye down to size
Kanye West said he’s turning his swagger down because of "South Park."
Who knew South Park could be so heartless? Ok, forget we asked that. The cartoon is known for parodying some of our favorite celebs, but this time it really got to ‘Ye.
“’South Park’ murdered me last night, and it’s pretty funny. It hurt my feelings, but what can you expect from ‘South Park,’” he wrote on his blog Thursday.
Now, after seeing how some people really think he acts, Kanye blogged that he’ll be knocking his attitude down a few dozen notches:
“I ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN WORKING ON MY EGO THOUGH. HAVING THE CRAZY EGO IS PLAYED OUT AT THIS POINT IN MY LIFE AND CAREER. I USE TO USE IT TO BUILD UP MY ESTEEM WHEN NOBODY BELIEVED IN ME. NOW THAT PEOPLE DO BELIEVE AND SUPPORT MY MUSIC AND PRODUCTS THE BEST RESPONSE IS THANK YOU INSTEAD OF 'I TOLD YOU SO!!!' IT'S COOL TO TALK SHIT WHEN YOU'RE RAPPING BUT NOT IN REAL LIFE. WHEN YOU MEET LITTLE WAYNE IN PERSON HE'S THE NICEST GUY FOR EXAMPLE. I JUST WANNA BE A DOPER PERSON WHICH STARTS WITH ME NOT ALWAYS TELLING PEOPLE HOW DOPE I THINK I AM. I NEED TO JUST GET PAST MYSELF. DROP THE BRAVADO AND JUST MAKE DOPE PRODUCT. EVERYTHING IS NOT THAT SERIOUS. AS LONG AS PEOPLE THINK I ACT LIKE A BITCH THIS TYPE OF SHIT WILL HAPPEN TO ME. I GOT A LONG ROAD AHEAD OF ME TO MAKE PEOPLE BELIEVE I'M NOT ACTUALLY A HUGE DOUCHE BUT I'M UP FOR THE CHALLENGE.”
The episode in question aired on Wednesday, April 8, but we’ve got a clip of it in case you missed it.
Kanye has gone from swimming in the drink to making one of his own.
According to E! Online, he’s using his artistic vision to inspire a line of energy drinks from the Guru Beverage Co. They say he ‘ll be more than just a spokesperson for the brand, and that he’ll actually have some input on the new line of products.
"I express myself through music, fashion, art and design and that's why I am excited to collaborate with Guru; because the brand values what I value, and I can put what inspires me into this new product," Kanye said in a statement.
