Shocking rumors that Shante Broadus has died are false!

We were stunned when we saw a TMZ.com report that Shante (Snoop Dogg’s wife) had been killed.  According to them, someone told the California Highway Patrol that Snoop had “the dead body of his wife in his basement.” The tip was posted to the CHP website as a “possible fatality.”

Gossip of Shante’s passing spread like wild fire over the weekend.  Now, Bossip reports that Snoop’s manager has squashed those rumors, saying that Shante, thankfully, is still alive.

“Of course, the CHP rumors are absolutely not true, totally ridiculous and most of all hurtful to Snoop Dogg and his family,” they said in a statement. “Snoop, Shante and their family are all alive and well – we appreciate the fans' concerns for their safety.”

Apparently CHP thought it was pretty ridiculous too because the case was never passed along to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
