A New York judge has ordered DMX to pay $240,000 to the victim of his FBI agent impersonation.

According to The Journal News, a jury began hearing the case of Sergei Priporin on April 27; he’d pressed charges against Earl Simmons (aka DMX) after an incident at JFK International Airport in June 2004.
 
DMX reportedly used a police siren and a flashlight to get Sergei to pull into an airport parking lot. Once he stopped, the victim alleges, the rapper assaulted him and attempted to pull him from his vehicle while claiming to be an FBI agent.
 
The victim’s mother and then 12-year old daughter were in the vehicle while all that went on. Earl was arrested after trying to flee the scene and crashing through an exit gate.
 
In his civil suit, Sergei accused DMX of assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The jury also found that DMX was to blame for the emotional distress that the victim’s mother and daughter have suffered.
 
Rich Corde, the defense lawyer, called the whole incident a "a bad case of road rage where, thankfully, no one got hurt." He conceded that DMX did try to pull Sergei over and take him out of the vehicle, citing the fact that the rapper was late for a flight. However, he said that his client was only trying to make a citizen’s arrest and that he never struck the victim.
 
The ruling is much less than Sergei, his mom and his daughter sought. They wanted DMX to pay them $4 million each for the incident.
 
But as we showed you in one of our recent throwback videos, impersonating the authorities was not something new for DMX.
