Date night in Washington, D.C.

Barack and Michelle Obama stepped out Saturday for a dinner date at one of the capital’s poshest restaurants.

It wasn’t exactly a quiet for the pair, who left the White House just before 6 p.m. on May 2. The took a short motorcade ride to Michel Richard Citronelle for their first date of Barack’s presidency.

They were casually decked out for their date: Michelle wore a white long-sleeved shirt, black capris and a pair of heels; she carried a blue clutch for a stylish dash of color. Barack opted for a dark suit, but decided to skip the tie.

Citronelle is one of Washington, D.C.’s top-rated restaurants and has even been dubbed “one of the world’s most  exciting restaurants” by Condé Nast Traveler.

While Barack and Michelle were inside, a huge crowd gathered outside the restaurant hoping to catch a glimpse (or snap a picture) of the fabulous first couple. Unfortunately, for them, one of the vehicles in the motorcade moved to block their view as the two exited.

Once home, the lovebirds decided to take a quick stroll around the grounds. Barack even missed tip-off for game seven of the NBA Playoffs (Bulls-Celtics).
