Michelle Obama visits 'Sesame Street'
The First Lady made her way down to 'Sesame Street' to hang out with Big Bird and Elmo.
According to the Associated Press, she stopped by the children's show during her trip to New York City on May 4. She was so amped up about the visit that she even told employees of the U.S. Mission to the United Nations about it.
"I'm thrilled to be here, but I was just at 'Sesame Street'—I'm sorry," said Michelle. "And I never thought I'd be on 'Sesame Street' with Elmo and Big Bird and I was thrilled. I'm still thrilled. I'm on a high."
Michelle was there to thank diplomats and U.N. staff members who promoted the president's new foreign policy. But that was secondary in her mind because she was still jazzed about going to 'Sesame Street.'
"I think it's probably the best thing I've done so far in the White House," Michelle said. "But we were there talking about nutrition and healthy eating, and it's just been a thrill."
She was talking about the public service announcement that she shot with Elmo as part of Sesame Workshop's Healthy Habits For Life initiative.
