After writing hit songs for others (Britney Spears, Ciara and Usher), Keri Hilson is ready to come to the forefront. Working with producer Timbaland has been a great learning experience for this talented performer. The buzz has been loud and she’s ready.

“Alienated” is the opening track. It has a whimsical sound to it. Its melody frames her voice in a very nice way. The mid-tempo sound will have you hitting repeat a couple of times.

“Change Me” features Akon. It has a very distinct sound to it, as it features two very distinct voices. It’s very pop and should be a staple on Top-40 radio.

The song “Energy” proves why Keri is a successful songwriter. Radio and fans have embraced this song wholeheartedly. Its mid-tempo sound is a treat for the ears.

“Get Your Money Up” features two of S2S’s faves, Keyshia Cole and Trina. It has an up-tempo sound and it’s the perfect club hit. It’s poised to be a summer blockbuster and a new women’s anthem.

“Knock You Down” is a song about the effects love can have sometimes. It features Kanye West and Ne-Yo. It’s my current fave track. The CD also features Lil’ Wayne and Timbaland. This CD should help make this a nice summer.

Find out about other faves this month when you pick up th June 2009 issue of Sister 2 Sister magazine.
