T.I. threw himself a going away party this past weekend before he reports to begin his prison sentence.
 
The party was held at a mansion on Star Island near Miami. Contrary to what the rumor mill had been spouting, it was not a wedding.
 
The party-planner definitely kept it hip-hop with the decorations, which included girls dancing in white bikinis.
 
Tip brought in three busloads of his friends from Atlanta, and there had been buzz that Usher and Justin Timberlake would be stopping through. However the only other celebrity in attendance was Tyrese. 
 
T.I. and Tiny were more than a little fashionably late to the party, too.  They didn’t get there until about midnight. Keep in mind that the party was supposed to end at 12:30 a.m.
 
According to TMZ.com, he’ll be reporting to start serving his sentence on May 26 at a low-security prison in Forrest City, Arkansas.
 
It’s expected that the rapper will be treated like any other inmate. He may be put in with the general population, and he could have a cellmate.  It’s possible that he may also be put on work detail.
