A Woman's Strength Its around 3pm. There's a chicken cooking in the pot that's to be used for the chicken & vegetable noodle soup for dinner. The baby is irritable from shots she'd gotten earlier that morning. There are grocery bags and baby toys all over the floor. The other children have yet to arrive home. They were picked up from school by Dad, and then they all headed to the store to buy shoes. Home without the additional hands to assist with the task at hand she somehow pulls it all off. With a baby in one arm she's simultaneously cooking, checking e-mails, and talking on the telephone. Her look is far from anything fancy. She's completely disheveled, having on 1 shoe, 1 earring, and her hair isn't at its best on this day either. Slowly but surely the meal is done, groceries and toys are put away, all this in time for the remainder of her family to return home from shoe shopping. Plates are then fixed, compliments are made to the chef, and all is well in her home. This 'she' that I'm speaking of, was me today. I am her. After all was said and done I immediately began to think about the strength of a Woman and I just had to write about it. Our selflessness, endurance and perseverance is close to cosmic to say the least. I don't know how we do it. Saying its because we have to isn't the answer. I've concluded that it is because of something beyond our knowledge and understanding. It intrinsic.  We are the most beautiful thing God has created, and our strength...well its uncanny. What's even more gratifying about this is that I too received a new pair of shoes. ;xoxo
