Cultured Cubicle goes Moroccan
While we all love our jobs (smile), sitting all day at a computer, caged in by metal, foam and plastic wall partitions, can easily bring down our morale and creativity. Dreary oatmeal-colored walls can be quite the eyesore too.
You can bring a little spice to your space, adding warm, vibrant colors that will take it from cold cube to Moroccan modernity!
Try these bold Fringed Chindi Rugs ($15, World Market). Place one on the floor of your cubicle, or drape the light fabric across a cube wall. Secure with simple pushpins for a punch of color.

Add some warmth to your office space with these small table lamps ($10, IKEA). The thin paper shades on these distinctive lamps will cast a soft light in your cube to calm your mood.
Bring the outdoors inside with a simple ivy plant. It’s a durable, resilient plant that needs little maintenance. Pick one up from any home improvement store. If you already have ivy growing at home, clip off a stem and pot it in a cute little planter ($18, Etsy ) like this one.
For a more lavish look, place ivy stems in this inexpensive Hand-Painted Bottle ($3.48, reduced from $14; Pier 1 Imports). The best part? It’s made of recycled glass! You can even store office essentials like paper clips in the gilded vase.
